Pascal Deweze - Beautiful Penelope (official video)

Pascal Deweze is a well known man in the Belgian indie rock scène for many years now. He was in ninetiesband Metal Molly, was frontman of Sukilove, played a huge part in Broken Glass Heroes, and is a much asked for producer. Recently he even toured with an hommage to Claude François.

Now, in his early forties, he is ready for a solo effort. ‘Cult of yes’ will be released by Starman Records on the 5th of May, and ‘Beautiful Penelope’ is the grisly but subtle first single. 

In the summer of 2015 there was already a first hint of Deweze’s solo work. No idea if ‘Room for love’ will appear on ‘Cult of yes’.

Claudia Soccio - Cette Histoire

A beautiful Belgium gem by the equally lovely songsters Claudia Soccio. Anyone familiar with Pascal Deweze (Sukilove, Metal Molly, Chitlin’ Fooks)? He wrote the song. The master himself has a little cameo @ 00:38 min & again at 01:46 min.

Milk The Bishop - Postmodern Haircuts

Een nieuw heerlijk brokje Belgische, psychedelische pop is nieuw leven ingeblazen om je oortjes te verwennen. Na 20 jaar (!) is Milk The Bishop terug met 'Postmodern Haircuts', dat heerlijk wegluistert in de stijl van Tame Impala en Deerhunter. De productie is van Pascal Deweze, en het nummer is voorzien van gastbijdragen van Bed Rugs. Veel plezier!

Broken Glass Heroes

Dat de som niet altijd een loutere optelling is van haar individuele delen, mag wel blijken uit het duo Tim Vanhamel en Pascal Deweze. Gevraagd om de (intussen razend populaire) comedy serie Benidorm Bastards van een gepaste soundtrack te voorzien, zochten Vanhamel en Deweze hun inspiratie in de sixties en seventies en reikten daarmee ver buiten hun normale comfort zone. De samenwerking bleek een geweldige meevaller te zijn en met een gezonde dosis 'zin naar meer' besloten de twee om aan hun tijdelijke samenwerking nog een serieuzer staartje te breien. De tunes en jingles evolueerden tot echte songs en onder de naam Broken Glass Heroes pakten Vanhamel en Deweze begin september uit. Met een full album dat bol staat van sfeervolle, straffe en sexy songs en nazomerse melodieën, denken we maar aan de ondertussen 'tijdloze' singles 'Let's Not Fall Apart' en 'Baby don't worry'.

Voor alle missers

Via een oud-kotgenoot ettelijke jaren geleden leren kennen, deze Sukilove. Van horen dan. En nu heel toepasselijk. Want iemand missen is stom. Dus dan kan je er maar beter aangepaste muziek bij hebben. Opgedragen aan alle missers dus. (pun intended)
