A huge part of Charis’ character is that he holds his loved ones very close to his heart. The shape of his family has shifted a lot over the years, notably with a number of losses that left deep emotional scars on everybody. But where grief was cemented, love also remained, eventually blooming its way out from between the cracks. And if there’s anything Charis has learned from growing up with Ephemer and raising their children together, it’s that yesterday’s love can be tomorrow’s too.
There are a lot of people in Charis’ life who mean a lot to him outside of his immediate family too. Whether these are people who have had an impact on him growing up, or those who hold significance in the present, or those he’s helped personally, all together, they make up the gallery of his life. And I guess it’s also worth mentioning that he and Ephemer do literally have a gallery wall in their home much like this one here. 😌🌿
