Paskal:The Movie(2018) theories

After rewatching Paskal many many many times and waiting for the sequel, I have some theories. Spoilers ahead!

Ok but first some context: Paskal the movie is a movie about Malaysia’s elite military squad known as Paskal. It’s based on true stories, and I love this movie!!

1.Outside Joshua’s house scene

Ok in this scene Jeb shows up at Joshua’s place to ask Arman to join him and tell him not to interfere with his job(being a criminal).

Ok so my theories in this scene is

1.1-Deep down Jeb still cares about Arman

Jeb was together with Arman when they were training and during Joshua’s death. Maybe he doesnt want his friend to be another casualty; maybe he wants a friend to work with him.

1.2-Jeb hates Arman

In the movie, we can see moments where Jeb is obviously jealous of Arman (and probably wants to kill him), so by asking him to join the dark side, he could

a. Bring him down to his level

b. Be better at him at something

c. Kill him or something

2. Badass explosion scene

Ok so this could just be me being bored waiting for the sequel and overthinking things, but here’s what I think. Ok he threw a bomb, and he’s not smiling. Would a person smile after throwing a bomb to kill people? No. But what if he feels bad for killing his teamates? He didnt want it to be this way but they got in the way. Now that I see this being typed out its silly, but imma leave it there.

3.Last fight scene

The final showdown. The soldier and the rogue. Who’s gonna win? Arman, duh. The good guys always win. So my theory from this scene is that when Jeb goes cordless bungee jumping into the sea, we don’t see his body and you know what they say: no body, no death. So, he’s still alive and is hopefully coming back in the sequel. Please.

Paskal (2018) - Been reading and hearing about the awesomeness that is this movie, Paskal and managed to go watch it with mom on my birthday. Came in with hopes that this movie was worth watching and sure enough, it blew me away. I always believed that our local filmmakers have the potential to do better and go further and surely this movie in my opinion is the best local movie of the year!!! Although there was a bit of predictability but I was definitely at the edge of my seat... the action scenes are really something out of your typical Hollywood movie but better coz it's our local boys! I didn't expect to see them parachuting down to the sea and get picked up by a submarine. A submarine! Too cool lah this movie. Seriously, congrats to @adrianteh19 and your entire cast and production crew. It's about time we have a movie like this. Paskal 2, pretty please? Also, @hairulazreen have improved tremendously, you can see the effort and hard work he put in. Of course, the whole Alpha Team, Joshua @henleyhii Misi @theebaan_g, Ustat @taufiqhanafi11, Gagak @gambitsaifullah, Yan @hafizulkamal, and of course, Jeb @ammar_alfian ...not forgetting Lily @jasmine_suraya too!!! . To those who haven't watch @paskal_themovie, please go and see it! And the fight scene has gotta be the highlight! Ada gak 1 scene I cried. Enough humour, sadness, action and human/family story to make it an awesome movie to spend time/money to watch.
