REVIEW
Lock & Load by Freya Barker
PASS Series #3
Book three in the PASS - Protection And Security Services – stellar series is the story of how Rada and Hilliary find their happily ever after and boy do they earn it in this book!
What I liked:
* Radar: computer nerd-hacker-programmer, team player working for PASS, son, brother, hunk, socially shy, reserved, focused, dog-lover, knows what he is good at, a great book boyfriend…HOT!
* Hilliary: RN, hard worker, goal oriented, intelligent, good friend, knows what she wants, has trust issues, intrigues Radar – intrigued by radar, interesting, perfect with Radar.
* That it took me awhile to figure out what Locked & Loaded was – oh my!
* That the story is believable
* Seeing couples from previous books
* Wondering what is eventually going to happen with Bree and Yanis
* Hoping there will be many more books in the series
* That Radar is so willing to put his feelings out there, ask for forgiveness, see his faults and not hold a grudge
* That it took me awhile to figure it all out
* The growth in the relationship between Radar & Hilliary
* Radar’s family dynamics
* The way Radar and Hilliary were better people as a result of their relationship
* The computer aspect of the story and how computers were used to help figure out how the crimes were occurring
* All of it really except…
What I didn’t like:
* The callous disregard for life shown by the baddies/criminals
* Knowing that there are homeless like the ones in this story and that their life on the streets is not pretty or easy
* Knowing that bigotry, bias and meanness still exists in this world
Did I enjoy this book? Definitely!
Will I read more in this series? Without a doubt!!!
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

BLURB
Juggling two jobs is nothing new for registered nurse, Hillary Glenwood, she’s been doing it for most of her adult life. She has an objective she intends to meet. But, just months before reaching her goal, she witnesses a violent attack outside her apartment that rattles her determination. However, her carefully controlled life runs completely off the rails when she recognizes the new neighbor coming to the rescue. As a hacker, Radar Jansen hasn’t always used his expertise in the most respectable ways until he came to work for PASS Security. Normally his time is spent behind a computer, but that doesn’t mean his skills end there. When—walking his dog one night—he sees a familiar woman rushing into a dangerous situation, his training kicks in. With Hillary’s safety compromised, the keyboard warrior puts on his real-life armor to shield the woman who is fast becoming his only focus.
