OCTOBER - en route to Oslo - Ängelholm SWEDEN
We had just played the biggest show of tour to 6000 people at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam and had to jump on the tour bus to make our way to our smallest show of 400 in Oslo. We made our way through Germany and were heading to the north of Denmark to board a ferry to Norway, but then we heard that bad weather had hit the UK and Western Europe, meaning we would have to turn back and drive the whole way, making our way to Copenhagen, into Sweden and then north to Oslo.
With detours and driver breaks, we ended up being on the bus for about 24hrs and I set up camp in the top lounge above our driver, the amazing Toonalone. It became my home for one of the most amazing months of the year and I’m not sure if I will ever tour like this again, but there was something so captivating about watching the world pass by from the second level of an old double decker bus.
