#59 Color the World 24 x 48 Oil on Panel Another #IntuitiveLandscape inspired by the continual series of Summer storms in #Montana. I was going to set this aside as well as oil painting for awhile. #59 FORGET THE RULES - Red Sky October 18, 2017 Painting is my passion and I can sort of feel it in this sky. My knowledge of painting has been mostly self-taught and experimental. I don’t know a lot of the rules, but the rules I do know, I’m trying to put out of my head. Looking outside at the sunset, for even just a minute or two leaves impressions that I try to capture. I burn the image in my brain, and hope that I can bring some of it back. Maybe it’s not painting that inspires me? ….. but the beauty I see every day. Oh, to capture it, is impossible, but those are the best challenges.
