Alright, I watched the Black Dagger Brotherhood pilot. I have some thoughts, below the cut to prevent spoilers.

I had low expectations. I was going to watch it anyway because I started reading the books at 16. I literally got a talking to in my driver's ed class because my teacher caught me reading Butch's book. I'm in my early 30's now, so it's been part of my life for half my life.

I'm a Rhage girlie since day one. And I've gotta say the first episode did better than I thought it would. Some of the costuming felt a little like cosplay or a bad Halloween costume, but the acting was pretty good. And it wasn't corny. Like, there is a full on sex scene and I was mortified it was going to be corny, cheesy, low budget porn.

It was emotional. My mouth fell open and I out loud was going "What the fuck" the whole time. Because while, yes, it was sexy. It also just felt like what I was imagining when I read the books. It was dirty, it wasn't straight up porn, it was porn with a purpose. Idk, I thought it was really well done, and did a great job of showing the connection they already have even in the pilot.

I want more of the brothers. I want all the episodes now, I hate waiting. But regardless, I'm pleasantly surprised with the series so far. Side note- was not prepared to be attracted to Butch but here we go.
