Passover and Modern Slavery
The Passover is a major Jewish spring festival which commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery. That was so many lifetimes ago, yet there are an estimated 45 million people trapped in some form of slavery today. Let’s all spend some time to observe our surroundings if there might be anyone trapped in slavery that we have not been aware of, and do our part to aid them and raise the alarm for help. UN SDG #8 Decent Work and Economic Growth; #16 Peace and Justice work towards fair and just work conditions for all.
