just saw ur post about ppl telling you their pain is silly compared to ur disabilities n stuff.. as someone who is deaing with fibromyalgia i just wanna say that ur so selfless and understanding. i know how chronic illness works, it literally drains you. but the fact that despite knowing how hard being a spoonie is, you still recognize that we can all suffer in different ways and everyone's pain is deserving of respect and validation... idk it brightened my day. sending u love n hugs :)
Thank you. I have a genetic condition which causes tumors to grow on my nerves. Just because my sickness is easily identified as causing pain and problems doesn’t mean other illnesses aren’t valid. Getting diagnosed was interesting because it was a mix of “It’s all in your head” and “seasonal allergies” till they did an MRI and found two golf ball sized tumors in my head. It shouldn’t take till then to get taken seriously, and my heart aches for people who don’t have a “root symptom” they can point to and say “SEE, it’s real!” Mental illnesses deserve as much sympathy and caring as any other illness.
