Good Chianti? Cheap Chianti? You've got it...
Hm. Quite possibly my favorite type of wine of them all: Chianti. I tend to choose Chianti wines most frequently... especially after my amazing first selection at Gordons then the rediscovery of one with my boyfriend in late January. These two wines were wonderful, however, they had one bad flaw in common: PRICE!
Never fear my budgeting wine lovers! We have solved the issue! And it bears a wonderful name... well... mine!
So allow me to introduce Stella.
"Notes of red fruits and peppery spice. Mouth filling and fresh on the palate with notes of minerality followed by soft tannins."
(Lesson on tannins to come...)
It had a great taste, light and refreshing. I had it by itself at first, then of course with one of my three rotating pasta dishes. It pairs perfectly with marinara sauce! It is also suppose to pair well with the Italian meats, ie. prosciutto, salami, ect. I would consider this a must buy for the Italian wine lovers on a budget!
And for being named after me, it deserves an A+
