Two year together

It was Tristan’s and Katerina’s two year anniversary of being married, and they wanted to do something special just the two of them. They’ve barley had any time with just them, having to take care of not only Hadley but two other twin babies as well. Hadley was now two and the twins were almost a year old. Not that they minded of course, they both loved their children and each other. Aurora and one of Kat’s friends that she had met through mommy and me classes when she started bringing Hadley at a few months old volunteered to watch the kids while the two went out. Katerina made reservations at a fancy restaurant wanting to pay for dinner since he took care of her when she didn’t have a job. Now she was working with a family friend and had a steady job.

Aurora and her friend were watching the babies in the living room while Kat and Tristan finished getting ready for their date night. Kat got ready in the bathroom away from Tristan wanting to surprise him with her appearance. Her hair was pulled back into a fishtail braid, a simple diamond necklace with earrings being the only jewelry she wore. She had on a simple black dress for their date night with heels. She did her foundation, put some eyeliner her top eyelid with some eyeshadow and red lipstick.

She came out of the bathroom to see Tristan just finishing up getting ready in their room, his back turned towards her. Even after a year whenever she saw Tristan all dressed up it caused her heart to flutter. He was normally handsome, but when he dressed up it brought attention to all of his lovely features. Her coat and purse was in the living room hanging up until they left. She wrapped her arms around his waist smiling softly.

Her being in New Orleans was entirely separate to the current dramatics over sire lines. She happened to like the city and had quite liked reacquainting with Elijah. They had parted on good terms over his unfailing devotion to the family she had no love for.

It didn't escape her that the Strix had forced a presence on the city, and Miranda was darkly disinterested in it. She maintained her ambivalence to joining an elitist group of sycophants.

She would have been lying if she had said she wasn't scoping potential affairs in the run of the mill bar she was currently seated in the far corner of; people watching.
