Polish PASTERKA (Midnight Mass) by Czesław Szwajkosz
Another sign you grew up Polish:
You were forced to go to Pasterka every year (a Christmas Eve vigil mass that normally takes place late at night and lasts until after midnight) and had to sing Wśród Nocnej Ciszy until you felt like you were going to faint and bang your head on one of the pews. 😂
Pasterka is a Midnight Mass celebrated by Roman Catholics during Christmas between 24 and 25 December across Poland. A close translation of the name would be the “Shepherds’ Mass” (literally: ‘that which belongs to the shepherds’ in Polish), in reference to the Biblical shepherds, who were visited by an angel and told of the birth of Christ.
Jak tam kochani? Gotowi do świąt ?☺️🤭🎄
