Happy Feast Day Saint Philip the Apostle
Died: 80 Feast Day: May 3 Patronage: hatters, Luxembourg, Uruguay and pastry chefs. St. Philip was one of Jesus' original apostles who is most famous for being present at the miracle of the loaves and the fishes. He was shy and timid by nature but given extraordinary graces to preach the gospel in Greece, after the death of Jesus. He was crucified upside-down and is said to have even preached from the cross. {website}
Saint James the Less
Died 62 AD Feast Day: May 3 Patronage: dying people, apothecaries, druggists, hatmakers, pharmacists, Uruguay, Italy St. James, called the less because he was younger than St. James the Great, was the author of the Letter of James. He writes about faith and works. He was thrown off the pinnacle of the temple in Jerusalem, then clubbed to death.
