The pasteurization process in theory is supposed to destroy disease causing bacteria, although the intense heat is not capable to distinguish between good or bad bacteria. It kills both! In fact those dead corpuscles float in the milky soup inviting other harmful bacteria to develop faster and rot. As the dead bacteria decay they form toxic substances which can if the concentration is strong can cause sickness.
