Trying to Stay Awake
“It’s past your bedtime! Night-night baby!”
How is it possible for my 2.5 year old to stay up longer than me?
Last night, at around 11:30pm, I found myself trying to stay awake. My daughter, on the other hand, had absolutely no problem. I must have sung her favorite song 30 times and still nothing!
As her dad peacefully slept, I tried doing puzzles with her, playing building blocks, even playing superhero with her (complete with mask & cape!) and still, nothing worked!
Some nights are hard than others, but I guess the 4pm, 2 hour nap, didn’t help!
We are usually on point when it comes to bedtime, but yesterday was a tough one. After a 5 mile run, and hot shower, all I wanted to do was go to sleep!
She finally went down at about 12am, after a 15 minute rendition of “You Are My Sunshine”. Good night, baby girl!
