This would be one hell of a project to work on. I make all my patches by hand after all!
I just wanna point out this is a PERSONAL project and will NOT be sold so all official images being used here are not being resold as “official” and marketed for such things. All characters, images and merchandise pictured is owned by Disney.
I just don’t have 150 to spend on a single pin or shirt so I’m going to make patches myself instead lol. So don’t slander me man I’m not making this to sell bootleg under “Disney merch”
Hi hello - I know you said in a previous reply that you have a masterlist of this stuff in your drafts but. Is there any 'hard no's of battle/patch jackets that someone should be aware of? Wanting to start making one but very aware of how little I know & nervous about doing something Wrong
There are exactly 3 rules (and a secret 4th) to battle jackets in my mind, some people will tell you theres more, some people will call my rules stupid, but these are the guidelines I stick to
Do not put any political patches on your sides or back. Keep them in the front. This one is honestly just for safety, if someone has a problem with it, you’ll be able to see them coming
If you don’t know of or listen to a band, don’t put the patch on your jacket just cause you think they look cool. People might ask you about it, you’ll be standing there without answers, you might get called a poser (even if you arent)
If you have other options, don’t buy off amazon. Buy from small businesses, straight from bands, or DIY it. Though I recognize that not everyone has other options for large varieties of reasons, but if you do, take them (besides DIY or small business patches usually look cooler imo)
Those are my 3 most important rules for battle jackets. But do you have to follow them? Of course not. I cant force you to do anything, its your jacket, not mine. That leads me to my secret 4th rule though
4. Don’t give a shit what other people think of it. Its your jacket, its meant to represent you, not fit in with some fast fashion fad. Jackets are something that is supposed to be personal, so as long as you like it, its a good jacket
My 3rd patch is done!!!!!
Sorry abt the cat hair. It's ruthless
put this lil guy on my jacket finally!!
Anyone got any tips and tricks for patch jackets? Do I add a patch or a button each time I get one or do I do it all in one? Any inspo pictures? I’ve got a lot on my Pinterest but any that anyone else have made would be lovely. Also any tips for homemade patches would be cool :)
hey here’s an update on my patch jacket
look at all this shit
If anybody embroiders and sells jacket patches, especially cryptid ones, I’m looking to buy some for my jean jackets. They look so empty.
