back on my fic writing kick teehee! I have one (1) fic that i’ve been chewing on since last year and I really like it, i wanna try to get maybe a chapter out by november! How cool!!! I haven’t written a fic since middle school, and certainly never posted anything anywhere. :D

Man i lurk on here allll the time but i have not been posting my shenanigans. I’ve been so busy but like, good busy. Still have two jobs, but i like them both. I’ve found a good niche here and i’m cool with chillin for a while. Also i can’t remember if i posted before but i had my first drag performance in July! I had a lot of fun and i still need to post pics.

i’ve gotta wrastle a 3d printer now, praise the omnissiah and all that. Whatever works, right?

oo hoo hoo picking up Fern from the bike shop today >:]

Had her in for a tune up and to get a whole trainer wheel set up. Tbh i didn’t think a mountain bike needed a trainer tire [smooth] but thankfully i looked it up and boy howdy. That would’ve destroyed the treads!

The bike trainer is a tire drive type, where the whole bike sits/locks on and u pedal with a sensor attatched to the back wheel. I miss cycling around town [no need for it with current job] and rn it’s too icy to take Fern anywhere safely, so i thought why not cycle indoors??

I also got a whole game pack with like 3 or 4 Metal Gear games [ps4]. I’ll b so real i have myself set up to play video games while cycling i’m so stoked >:] eheeheheeeheee

current job is going well, tho i’ve applied to a couple of places so far since this is just not where i wanna be for a long amount of time. Fingers crossed i hear back soon lolol i kno it’ll be a bit and they’re definitely longshots but i can’t help but be optimistic.

I kno i shouldn’t “live in the future” but i can’t help but think about what i might be missing out on by staying in a rural area. The lack of public transport access is a *huge* bummer as well; yeah i’ll drive 1-3 hours oneway for literally anything, but geez i wish i could take a train. Is this problem new? No, and that’s the point. I just get so frustrated, i wish we had better passenger rail here. [and to be clear i dont hate driving, im totally fine with long trips on the reg but like damn. i’d like to attend *any* cool cultural event without having to do major logisitcal planning u kno??]

ok buckle up this peasant is lodging a grievance

the closest station is an hour away [which i go to!], why can’t they add passeneger stops in some of the northern villages/towns where the freight lines run through! We have sooo many active rail lines, with love and peace i genuinely want to know, is it truly that hard to add passeneger stops to an established rail line? Sure u’d have to build a platform and safety measures, but the main component is already there? i am not in the railroad industry, but i’ve always wondered whyyy is it so difficult to get more stops/passenger lines past Harrisburg. The majority of the interior of the state has 0 passenger rail, and yet has so many active cargo lines. Surely, it would be economically beneficial in the short and long term [contractors, janitors, security, local businesses, etc] to open up more small stations to connect the pre-exisiting lines in the interior to Erie, NY, Altoona, and Harrisburg? [i think altoona’s where u get on for pittsburgh, and harrisburg takes u to philly]

Another aspect is that iiii do not want to be teaching kids for a long time! this job has been a lifesaver tbh, it’s a great gig, but i definitely don’t want this as my career. I’m very lucky to have such a flexible job that gives me creative control, but i didn’t spend all that time and money just to stay indoors u kno?

I think i’ll ramp up apps in feb just to make sure i’ve got a good place to hop to [lest my grant be non-renewed]. now that everyone’s good health-wise I’m feeling good about moving out again, so ig we’ll see how that goes! :]

I can’t remember if i posted it here but i’m getting my private pilot’s license, and today i had my fourth simulator session [yippee!]. We had to pick my car up from the shop so mom drove me down today and I was like “no sit in u gotta see this thing, it’s so cool!!” And she really liked it, I totally killed it today learning about steep banks, engine failures, turnarounds to the airport, and othee adverse weather conditions :D I’ll see what pics i have [cuz apparently she took some!! 🥹]

Ah right, also organizing the fabric and notions today!! I have been cookin up a storm of art of all kinds, it’s fantastic!! I thought i was never gonna get back that flame but no it’s back lads!!! 🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
