♘:Cuddling in a blanket fort

The more Ren looked over his shoulder to see what Nichrome was doing, he had only gotten more slightly confused each time. At first, he just figured he was just looking for something, moving stuff around to be organized, grabbing some of their belongings to clean… That sort of thing. He even heard him walk out of the room, and come back with more pillows. Perhaps to change them with their current ones on the bed. Though that didn’t seem to be the case when he kept all of them and haven’t moved the other ones out. Ren turned back to his studies, his ears still open to the background noise. Pillows and blankets being shuffled around, the creaking of the bed and the floor, some thumps - either from objects landing or Nichrome’s feet even though he was fairly quiet as he could be.

Ren looked again to see what was going on, his eyebrow raising as he saw pillows and sheets set in a rather odd way on the bed. He had seen this sort of thing before, something Nichrome called a ‘fort’ using all the blankets and pillows they could find to build it. The very first time, Ren thought it was nonsensical and didn’t understand why it was such an enjoyable thing for people to do this kind of thing with their time.

Figured he could take a break from his studying for the night, he glanced over to his other side, got up and picked up a couple of pillows and a light quilt by the wall. Ren made his way over to the opening side of the fort, intending to give Nichrome a helping hand with his work. He knew how much these things make the other happy, even more so when Ren involves himself in them willingly. After climbing onto the bed, he helped close up the fort with what he brought in. He was somewhat amazed that this fort could even stay up with only what they have, but he doesn’t mind much as long as it didn’t collapse while they were simply relaxing. Rolling over quietly, he pulled Nichrome towards him and rested his arm over Nichrome’s body and leaned his head on his shoulder. “I like it here like this.” He hadn’t really counted in on the fort part, but he supposed it could. It just… felt much at home even with it.

18: stomach kiss

Ren held Nichrome under him, locking his legs with his own as he half-sat on him. He had just pushed his half naked fiance over on the bed to do what he liked on the spur of the moment. He knew Nichrome wouldn’t mind too much, seeing as he wasn’t busy with any particular thing at that moment. Leaning down, he purposely left a trail of kisses down his bare stomach. Occasionally sucking at the soft skin and licking slightly where he aggressively kissed before pressing his lips to those spots again.

Ren burrowed his face to his stomach, giving it more of an affect to his kissing. He had known about this weakness long ago ever since they had their first time together being intimate in Nichrome’s room. Every time he was working himself out at the other’s stomach though, he always found himself staring at the nicely tanned skin. It barely changes, but… he can’t help but feel there’s something fascinating about it every time he laid his eyes on him. Still not pulling his face away, he hummed out a statement to him, “I’ll have you know, this is one of my extra favorite spots to check out.”

He didn’t only like it just for Nichrome’s reactions or to please him greatly when he does it. In fact, he was just lucky that Ren quite enjoyed that particular part of him himself. Ren kept on moving down to the lower area of the abdomen until he reached Nichrome’s waistband. He tugged it down slowly as he kissed along, pulling back with an eager smile before he went any further. “We’re good to go for tonight, wouldn’t you think so?”

He was probably going to get in trouble if the others found out he was the reason Silva was leaving, but the words came out without restraint or intention. He'd just said the first thing on his mind, even if it was wrong. It was pointless to say he was sorry now, and he was too scared to. His heart was pounding too much for him to focus. If Chrome was here, he would've picked up that Oracle Bell right away... "I know I'm a terrible child... I don't even deserve such a perfect brother."

"Your brother adored you; you were the one thing in this world that made him the happiest." Of all people, Silva was the one that knew that the very best. No matter how hurtful the things that Nichrome had said to him had been, it was clearly what the younger Official needed to hear. "...If that doesn't make you worthy, I don't know what will." He supposes that they'd all changed when Chrome departed this world, each in their own different ways.

Great Spirit above, does he ever miss that lovable fool-- He'd probably know how to make all of this right again, wouldn't he?

"...I should go."

Silva shakes his head, stepping forth and resigning himself to his solitude before his emotions get the better of him in front of Nichrome. As much as he wishes things were different, there's not a damn thing he can do to change all of this.

"Good. You being here is doing all of us a disservice. I thought maybe you were the one person I could trust being my brother's best friend... but you turned out to be lower than you even consider Hao to be. You betrayed all of us... and my brother's wishes." He looked away, preferring that Silva didn't see tears starting to form. His voice went low, just barely a mutter. "You were always there when I was a kid, but you're not the same now... It should've been you who died that day..."

It should have been you.

As quiet as Nichrome's admittance was, Silva must look as though the boy had practically screamed the words at him. He's left reeling, shuffling back once, twice, and finally three times as the message sinks in. Mouth agape, he fights for something to say in retaliation, but finds that he has none to give.

How can he possibly argue with something like that?

When the shock settles, he quietly unclasps the oracle bell at his wrist in a stiff and almost robotic movement, extends it before him, and lets the device fall to his feet with an almighty clatter. He glances aside, keen to leave before he breaks completely, and begins to turn his back on the young Patch.

"Believe me, Nichrome... Some days I wish that I had been in his place."

Maybe things would have been better that way, too.

"...You want me gone?" Despite his outer display of anger, it truly hurts to hear Nichrome say these things. Still, Silva grits his teeth and swallows the upset, choosing instead to simply cooperate than to risk taking his anger out on one so young. He knows when he's not wanted.

"Fine. I won't disgrace you any longer with my presence; I'll be out of your hair for good by the days' end."
