Patch testing (testing for allergies by inducing a hopefully localised, topical allergic reaction, and in my case hoping the area will develop the blistering I suffer from so that they can finally take a skin biopsy) is in session. Honestly didn’t realise it’d cover my whole back; they’re testing 48 different things (we counted)! It’s only been on since 3.30pm and it’s already; itchy as fuck, burning like the fires of hell in certain spots, honestly pretty uncomfortable and actually a bit painful. Carer say the skin over the stickers is burning hot to the touch too, and one or two spots look icky under the dressing, so I’m pretty sure I’m allergic to at least one thing they’re testing 🙈!
