Fic: The Same Deep Water as You

Path of Night, Johnny/Miles, 24k of branding, blood bonds, desperate yearning and unhinged levels of loyalty.

Miles should have known better than to sleep with Johnny. Now he wanted more than he thought Johnny was able to give. But weeks after he'd decided to put an end to that arrangement, a trip to another domain forced them both to confront the feelings Miles had been refusing to talk about.

So a while ago I saw this post about a knight "begging his prince to brand him with his personal royal seal directly on the side of his neck for everyone to see, distraught to discover the prince 'believes there must be a healthier way to prove one’s devotion'." And obviously it doesn't fit exactly, but I thought, "hmm, how could I POSSIBLY make that work for Johnny/Miles?"

And then I escalated and wrote this. I'm really happy with how it turned out, so enjoy. :D

Do I feel a little weird making an oc for this Fandom? Yes?

Do I still want a situation where my oc gets asked what sort of dog they think Johnny Saxon is and then they proceed to answer that due to him being a Brujah that he would automatically be a Chihuahua which get my character kicked into the sunset so hard that a team rocket ass star appears. Also. Yes.

As a fellow Storyteller, what's your favorite part of storytelling?

Honestly, the collaborative nature of storytelling is the thing that speaks to me the most. Getting to throw things at my players, surprise them, and have them surprise me in turn.

And nothing feels better than seeing players (and the audience for APs) get tense, excited, and fully into the moments
