a proper piece for our circle's Twilight Righteous Devil, Mnemon Garan. blinded in a duel with an Octopus Stylist, he learned the secret name of fire in his study of sorcery, and no longer needs flamepieces to wield justice. he has only gotten angrier and dirtier since. he belongs to @bystanderman.

i can't resist beautiful moon-coloured Lunars! i knew as soon as i saw Aabirah that i wanted to draw her. but our own campaign has been so focused on Righteous Devils that i couldn't resist Salmon either! they're so cute together~

for both artfight and Forge of Wonders Character of the Month; Mask of Golden Lies for @angelasasserart, with my own Grave Goods Gardener. i also wrote their romance novel back blurb:

Forbidden Fruit Mask of Golden Lies is an expert at his trade- a cunning manipulator, courtier, and killer, all in the name of his mistress, the Lover. Nearly assassinated and thrown to his death, Mask's luck comes through when he is found by a strange woman, the Grave Goods Gardener. Though he never sees her face beneath the stark cow skull that hides her face, she brings him home and nurses him back to health, and he finds himself growing curious at her isolated farm life, dutifully growing crops and giving sustenance to the dead. Mask is anxious to return to his own duties, for he's sure his mistress will be irked by his failure, and he wonders if this Gardener could be a tool he could bring his lady to make up for it. Though she keeps her head down, she's a woman of power and skill, and the Lover would find use for her.

But Gardener's fruit, grown and tended to soothe the fears of lost ghosts, begins to work its magic on Mask as well. Though he's used to playing the games of the wealthy and powerful, he begins to wonder if a life of calm, serene freedom might be more alluring than the life he lost...
