He has so much bone loss from chronic infections that the end of his jaw broke while I was elevating that canine tooth.
We're using the tooth as the anchor for the wire now holding his jaw in place. It's less than ideal, but I broke down sobbing while considering if I should just euthanize. He's otherwise healthy. He's been neglected for so long. He can't go back to my grandma's house because he's not going to get the care he needs and none of the rescues I've contacted so far have been able to take him.
Major stressors. But my vet takes with me and we decided to wire him and he'll just continue boarding for now until I can find someone to take him.
