Like... how does one even put into words a life changing experience like I had last week? ❤️ • HOPE - The literal name of the conference... but that’s the best way to describe it. Not only did I meet such inspiring individuals, and cry my eyes out multiple times throughout the conference, I feel hopeful and inspired to continue sharing my story and my journey and to let people know they aren’t alone. • I might not have an ostomy, but I heard so many similar words and experiences shared that I could relate to. And WE TALKED ABOUT SEX Y’ALL. Something I don’t talk about but something I have struggled with literally since diagnosis, having perianal complications with Crohn’s, and even more so since surgery. And guess what? It opened doors for me and my new pals to talk about and I realized I wasn’t alone.
