Having cracked a major ‘chink in the armor’ of Indian Mujahedeen by arresting some operatives by Delhi police special cell and Rajasthan police in Jodhpur, the ongoing Indian Mujahedeen terror investigation throws more light to some unique human behavior but with more chilling reality of brutal acts of revenge. India has often been a soft target for a variety of perpetrated acts of terror and mass disruption by terrorist outfits in and outside the country. According to arrested suspects confessions and proof allegedly recovered it gives a cache of bombs, ammunition, literature and other paraphernalia for purposes of carrying out terror acts. These seem a given for investigative agencies. But for the Delhi police special cell and Rajasthan police point to wider plan of planned attacks in the pipeline.
Revenge for various attacks allegedly against some communities, viz Muzarffarnagar riots, Patna blasts, Hyderabad blasts, Mumbai blasts, Jaipur blasts etc. The list for terror acts on India seems to grow and be getting bigger each year. There’s always a chance that some operatives got away, but agencies confirm the major leadership in India for now is in custody. Jodhpur arrests on Saturday and subsequent interrogations may bring a sense of respite and ease but the machine of terror never takes a backseat to irrelevance. Even as the security and investigations confirm there is possibility of new leadership trying to come and take over from neighborhood of India.
Terrorism badly disrupts social harmony and peace causing tremendous anguish and pain to victims and society. Terrorist’s minds and objectives defeats irony even to the most profound scientific logic or analysis. With the new breakthrough in investigation one can only hope the alert continues unabated.
