Terry and his pal Patrick were Marines back in the day
In season 5 either Terry or Patrick has to die, or they will both die. Patrick kidnaps Arlene, basically and has Terry show up. While holding a gun to Arlene's head, he tells Terry how he can't die because of his wife and baby back home. Terry suggests that they fight and the best man who wins, lives.
Patrick says no and stays saying how Terry is a better this and that... one of those things being "You're a better soldier"
Umm... Soldier= Army. They were Marines!
