Coworker 1: Don't patronize me. (pronounced pay-tronize) Coworker 2: Actually, it's 'pā-tronize'. New Boss Lady, from down the hall: Dude, what the f*ck? Really??

Sometimes... things that are demons.... are nice
send me ‘spoiler!’ and I’ll write a vague spoiler about a story I’m writing
Liz Lemon: "Tracey it costs the show a lot of money when you pull these...shenanigans."
Tracey Jordan: "Don't patronize me with your Celtic slang, Liz Lemon."
Given that "patronize" comes from "pater" meaning "father" (but often used like a catch-all for "male figure") we literally already had a word for mansplaining built into our language.
