It SUCKS SO FUCKING MUCH being a woman who's into video games and pop culture nerd shit because almost every man I talk to feels the need to condescendingly explain shit I already know! Half the time the shit they're explaining to me isn't even fucking CORRECT yet they still feel the need to talk down to me! And if I correct them they immediately start to defend themselves until they're blue in the face.

I once worked with a grown ass man In his late 40's who got upset that I corrected him on the development of the Wind Waker that he dead ass started to make up his friend who used to work at Nintendo which is total bullshit.

Recently I had a guy who I've been talking to for a month about video games condescendingly explain RPG mechanics to me

ordinarily i think the malewife of mansplain manipulate malewife refers to being a malewife oneself, but because english is a language that can and should be played fast and loose, it can also mean to make someone one's malewife. (i have some thoughts on the derivation of this second definition but for now i think it'll be funnier not to share them)
