DIAGON UNIVERSITY PROUDLY PRESENTS: WIZFEST WEEK
The start of the year is always one of the most exciting times for a student and professor. It’s a very calm time in the classroom, never going too hard with the classwork just yet. First Year Students run around and get lost despite being presented with countless opportunities to make their life at the university much more illuminating, and older students get to see their roommates, friends, and even favorite professors they hadn’t seen in a while. That’s why to kick the year off, the university hosts WIZFEST.
Wizfest is a week of activities that are held throughout campus that sometimes extend out into Diagon Alley. Society booths are placed up in the courtyard in hopes of attracting new members for the year. Delicious food and drinks are served for anyone walking about. Carnival-like games are spread throughout campus, along with entertainment eve ry day!
What students look forward to the most during the week are all of the parties that happen every single day of the week. The first party is always held in the forest by the Fourth Year Students, inviting everyone by word of mouth, and the next four days have parties hosted by the four houses. The four houses always try to out do each other, as it sets the vibe for the rest of the year, and no one ever really sleeps this whole week because of it. Sometimes, even a reckless professor might be seen at one of these parties, or they may come along to shut things down.
Regardless, everyone hopes to see you there. Welcome to the 2026-2027 Diagon University Academic School Year. May your life at the university be bright and full of opportunities.
Alright! This is a fun dashboard event. it goes on from Monday, 11 September, to Monday, 18 September. (Story-wise, this would take place 4 Sept. - 8 Sept.)
You can have your characters a part of the society booths if they are a member of it already or are the leader of it. Can also be a part of the entertainment (music, comedy, etc. Entertainment!) or in charge of any carnival games !!
This is is a perfect event for characters to meet one another if they haven’t—have that old school go-with-the-flow roleplay style where they meet someone new if you want!—or for friends or significant others to attend together !!
Threads must be tagged accordingly if drinking, drug use, or nsfw are going to be written about in any way, especially during the parties that are held nightly. For those of you who need those triggers to be blocked, be sure to use new xkit to blacklist said tags or keywords !!
Time skips are recommended since this event story-wise happens within a number of days, but it’s all up to you !!
Starters should be tagged with #patronusevent as well as #patronusstart. You will be allowed to continue event threads even after the event is over, but you will not be allowed to post new starters when the event is over.
