I saw the latest ask and im just wondering,do viran or Patteit 3ver feel jelous because they cant/don't want to unfuse?

patteit has two heads, so derek and patts can talk to each other whenever they want. they’re okay with not unfusing, they don’t feel the need to

viran just hates to unfuse. it’s difficult for him; he manifested fused, and the first time he unfused it was at the hands of the aliens and both traumatic and forceful. even if he does unfuse, he can’t stay unfused for very long because his components get antsy and itchy to be whole again. 

so no, not really. they’re content being permafusions

Concept. Patteit walking down the hall but both heads are very tired. If one head, let’s say Patts, falls asleep, would the leg that’s on his side go limp? Because if so I can just imagine them suddenly going down to one knee in the hallway, but if you want to add some fluff to it, Lodec coming out of his room and helping them to theirs.

starshine: fun story so bc patteit’s heads and body are so closely interconnected, they fall asleep at the same time or close to it. so if one head falls asleep, the other one is only a few seconds behind it. so in the above scenario, when patts falls asleep they sink to one knee but derek’s close behind so when lodec makes it into the hallway what he finds is patteit sprawled out asleep on the floor. lodec just drags them to bed and falls asleep curled into their warmth.

Before his world was thrown into chaos of war, Patteit’s world naturally had sides spawn and show up all the time because basically eons ago a combination of science and magic found that a soul could manifest outside the body and would separate into distinct factions of your personality. This became the normal practice.

The sides or “aspects” would be guides to you and help you through life and when you’d die typically these aspects would carry on their knowledge.

Now, before the war happened, your sides would carry on your knowledge and experiences by gathering around you for your death and you would never be alone and then once you would die, your sides/aspects would to to a specific place, a Library of sorts, and allow themselves to transfer all of the knowledge they gathered through their Origin’s life and compile it into a book, transferring themselves into said book with a slightly magical, slightly scientific process called the Right of Passage.

This process was considered a sacred act because it was the last remnants of a soul giving back to the world and often times you would find aspects who had not performed the Right yet so they could continue their work of helping others far beyond that of their Origin. 

Many Aspects also sign up for volunteer things because they do not need to eat sleep or drink so they are great as firstresponders and disaster relief workers and will often be allowed to postpone the Right of Passage if they are willing to act as helpers and stuff and a lot of sides/aspects do this so they have more knowledge to pass on later. 

They do not typically hate the idea or are scared of the idea of the Right of Passage because their Origin is gone and often sides/aspects miss their Origin too much to want to stay because on their world it is widely known that soul fragments are reunited when all have completed the Right so they don;t feel whole until they rest if their Origin has passed. (The oldest side/aspect lived to be 210 years old as a firstresponder before peacefully agreeing to the Right).

As science and stuff progressed, that book would instead be a digital file housed in the Library where the information is accessed through a cloud. BASICALLY all knowledge is kept there so if you need advice you can go to the Library and actually TALK to aspects of your ancestors which take a kind of hologram form and speak with you. 

Sides only die if they are deliberately killed and they cant be killed by accident or by accidental force like an accidental stray bullet. They have to die by choice or by someone literally and intentionally killing them. Also they cannot die if their Origin is not yet dead and likewise if their Origin dies or is killed hey remain unless someone tries to take them out or they choose to pass. 

Because Patteit’s world is destroyed and the library was ruined in the process of the great war, and because Patteit’s other sides and their Origin are gone, they cannot die and they cannot choose to die because the process is a magic and science one based on their world so they have no idea how to repeat the process of “uploading” their knowledge and resting. They would have to ask someone to kill them if they wanted to die and they very much do not want to die so they are effectively immortal unless someone deliberately tries to kill them. 

They have a serious longing for their Thomas sometimes though and miss him and their other aspects very VERY much. When the others were killed (because they were deliberately killed because war is awful) they inherited a lot of their other sides’ traits which is why separating them from being fused causes them so much pain. They are all that is left of a fractured soul and they cannot bare to be apart.

Hey. It’s me. Concept Anon again. So here we have a Concept: Secretly Deittons biggest fear is that when he dies eventually die, his family won’t accept him anymore because of all the bad things he did.

This fear carries into when he's Patteit too, that fear never really goes away. Sometimes he can block out the fear but that nagging littlw voice that says that his lost family are in a special place is not where he would be welcomed if he were to die. People try to dissuade him of this feae but it's always there.

Do dereck and patts have any significant personality differences or do they act the same

Derek is a lot more quiet and Patts is very protective of Derek. Their self-consciousness is typically directly related to Derek but Patts also tries to be happier and not bother Derek with his sadness. Derek though, know when he's sad and will make him open up about it.
