I'm going to be honest, I wasn't expecting there to be a pattern. But looking at this, there's a pretty obvious one. I tend to start the first sentence of my fic with the character's name. Specifically, the character that is the pov of the piece. Or section of the piece. I do this to introduce which character is the perspective you're going to read. And with the fics where the pov changes, each section will most likely have the pov character's name in a way to show who is speaking. This is wanting to change it up the next time I start a fic to see if I can rework the first sentence to have another word other than the character's name. Or even not have the character's name at all.
