This video is just a tiny scrap of the whole image, one that was captured on camera and which is sadly considered normal among many who played ice hockey and grew up believing that a parent yelling at you and using curse words when you mess something up (in this video as an eleven-year-old) is a part of every competitive sport.

I personally consider Pavel Zacha's dad worse, but Paul's approach to bringing Mitch up wasn't exactly the healthiest either. Fortunately, Mitch didn't turn out to be the assh*le his father probably wanted him to be while playing.

Off topic but are Paul Marner and Keith Tkachuk as mean/borderline abusive as some fans make them out to be?

Wow I didn't know about any of this! Apparently Paul Marner said this "You better f**kin skating Mitch, I swear…You just gonna tell your Mom it was another game. Yep, just another game, eh?” Paul even admitted he gets too involved, “People have this vision that their kid is going to go somewhere and they get really involved in it. It’s like we’re living our lives through our kids. If we could all stay a little calmer, it would probably be better for our kids, as well.” it doesn't exactly reflect well on him so I don't know what to think, but he doesn't sound like a very nice person at all.

Keith Tkachuk apparently said that Matt "has one of those faces you just want to punch" which sounds a bit of the weird iffy side. I couldn't find very much about Keith, but he definitely gives me bad vibes and sounds like the type of person who would push his kid to be exactly like him and compare his kid on him. I bet it's really really competitive in their house....
