Paul Singh, the “Startup Savant” is heading to Sioux Falls for a full week
The veteran entrepreneur and venture capitalist Paul Singh is bringing his Results Junkies North America Tech Tour the week of April 24, 2017. While in town, there will be a number of events at local entrepreneurial spaces including The Bakery and Zeal.
Paul Singh, one of the original three partners of 500 Startups knows more than just a little bit about startups. In the last five years, he’s flown over 500,000 miles circling the globe, during which time raising tens of millions of dollars in venture funds, and investing in hundreds of companies. A startup founder (a few times over) himself, he’s been on both sides of the table and has had his fair share of both successful exits and struggles past proof of concept. That’s just one of the many reasons why he knows startups and small businesses better than most others; and why they know him.
Sioux Falls is one of twelve scheduled stops in 2017. Since starting the tour three years ago, they have logged a bit over 32,000 miles and visited 45 cities.
This tour includes great content, coffee (and beer), and conversations with the area’s top deal-makers, deal-breakers, entrepreneurs, and assorted hangers-on. And, yes, Jack the dog and the Airstream too.

An intro I made for a radio station in Toronto called PUNJABI GHETTO BLASTER, in 1994. I was around 15 years old. It was used and people loved it, Im sure some will remember this, I use to tune in weekly and go crazy every time my music came on. This brings back alot of memories!

It was in one of those bins that I came to this album… I mean, just look at that CD cover. Were these guys 100% earnest art-school goofballs, or had they slyly predicted the painful irony-fueled zeitgeist of the upcoming decade? I’d like to think it was more the former, and anyway, there was an Indian dude on the cover and that was pretty cool for me. This predated even No Doubt and Tony Kanal, this was before Aziz, before Mindy, before Kumar, before Aasif, before Sunjay Gupta! You just didn’t see Indian people on TV, not that these guys were on TV back then either, but hey, it was something. [link]
