Tour of Bushwick Galleries Oct 13, 4-6 pm
Frauke Schlitz is a german artist who looks and draws buildings. In the last three years she has done numerous residencies in the US. She writes that for her "space is not seen as a continuum but as a sample of fields and zones makes by substancial or virtual lines ". Her are some of the buildings she observed at her Elizabeth Foundation studio in Hell's Kitchen. The show Karsten-Schlitz in Dialogue juxtaposes the work (also in B & W) of Linda Karsten a minimalist with a long career in sparse yet tumultuous drawings to those of Frauke Schlitz.
Paul D'Agostino's work merges linguistics and painting as he expresses the word SOUL in eight different languages. Yes, he is a translator and linguist as well as a painter.
