5 Points, 1 Game: Paul Henderson Dominates the Rangers
On October 27, 1966, Henderson recorded a hat trick and added an assist for a 5-point night to lead the Detroit Red Wings to their first win of the season, a 5-4 comeback over the New York Rangers.
Down 2-0, Detroit looked headed for another loss… until Henderson took over. He scored three straight goals (a natural hat trick), then added a fourth in the third period to seal it.
Even more impressive? Gordie Howe and Alex Delvecchio were held pointless, while Henderson and Norm Ullman did all the damage.
