It’s easy. I could go on & on about his talent & ear. His ability to play every instrument. The way he truly listens to the artist & guides everyone in the room effortlessly towards that vision. The safe space he created for me to be vulnerable in moments when I couldn’t sing because I had started crying. His dedication to capturing the best possible recordings. His joy for creating music. I could write a book on all those qualities that he has in spades. The intangible, indescribable part is actually the most important - it’s easy. And it’s fun as hell. Thank you, Paul. Old friends. New music. Wrapping up overdubs a week ago for @birdofficial with the OG crew THE @johnboymusic and THE Mike Hedges. This trio goes back well over a decade. Love JPW - both his mission and his music. And I consider Mike Hedges one of my biggest mentors in the arts. We’ve worked on countless records together and he’s taught me so much. Forever grateful for these two and the music they’ve made. Life moves in circular motion, thankful for the times that it brings friends back around.
