please enjoy a seamless 10 minute loop of the scene in _girlfriends_ (1978; dir. claudia weill) where susan (melanie mayron) paints a wall. i find it to be visual asmr. _girlfriends_ is a beautiful and heartbreaking film that inspired some other things i love; please watch it.

you may notice that during the dissolve the paint roller starts a little earlier than it does in the actual shot, starting with an entirely white wall. i recreated that 1-second-and-change by hand in an image editor and reconstructed the film grain from existing frames. what can i say, it was a labor of love.
