okay but imagine young Pauline's being assaulted by a big, hunking guy and halt's running to save her because they're friends and it's never okay to do anything like that ever anyway, but she knocks him out and all he can do is stand there awkwardly muttering something about being going to give her a hand and she looks at him and spreads her fingers and stretches her arm towards him and says "i wouldn't mind that" and he takes her hand and they just stand there and please don't judge me for wasting time imagining this kind of garbage
