Tugging on her jacket and saying hasty goodbyes to the rest of the baristas, she was looking forward to going home and getting away from the smell of coffee. Already planning on a good cup of tea when she got home, it took her a second or two to hear the irritated customer trying to order from her and seemingly insulting her for not paying attention to him. Asshole. But of course, wanting to keep her job she just smiled and did her best to diffuse the situation. “I’m really sorry but I’ve actually just finished my shift. One of my coworkers will be able to help you out of ‘perkatory’ soon, though.” However her smile quickly faded one that was more apprehensive as her humour didn’t seem to sate the customer who moved to block her as she went to step around him. “Look, I’m really sorry but I have some place else to be so I’d really appreciate it if you let me by.” Pascale’s eyes darted around the cafe, wondering if any of the owners of the dozens of eyes were that were now fixed on her due to the man’s outraged tone were actually going to say anything or just gape.
