Addition to my muzzle ask from earlier (which I hope sent, cause if not.. pffft... there goes the context), but I think I like shibari for the same reason. Rules are simple, stay still and let your body be moved as needed.

The more I think about it, kink is just actually really good for coping skills lmao

Yes! On the tying side of shibari, I think I genuinely just like it as an art form. I've done a fair bit of photography and the amount of gorgeous photos that certain types of shibari make possible just,,oh my god. The other reason I like it is the,,sensuality, I guess, of it? The trust and non-verbal communication between dom and sub, the skill and meditative practice of doing the typing, the incredible trust that a sub would be placing in me, to let themselves be tied up? Just..oh my god. Incredible. As soon as I have spare cash and a willing irl sub, I'm absolutely attending shibari workshops.

Sometimes, I think about wearing a muzzle (not a gag), but I'd want to wear it when I go nonverbal. That way, there's no expectation for me to talk anyway. But society *sigh*

I'm very similar. I love the idea of just wearing a simple black face mask during scenes and honestly just throughout my day (even around the house), just as a "you don't need to talk, it's okay" type thing. When the covid mask mandate ended, I literally had to re-learn how to do facial expressions properly.

My day went alright, bad pain day for me but we made it through!
