Devin Morris showing images today at MoMA PS1 from the first Brown Paper Zine & Small Press Fair @mocada_museum . Around this time last year I started #PAYBLACKTiME, a reparations service for white people to put a dollar value on their guilt, which I then used to send meals via Seamless & Grubhub to black and brown people all across America (and beyond when services would allow). . In 2 months I raised over $9k and sent over 300 orders . Today I have scaled back the service because it was an ENORMOUS effort to take on by myself, and emotionally draining to be basically begging white people to be morally and financially compassionate while my people are begging for help to simply carry on. . I now service people in my network on a more intimate basis, as I still get unsolicited donations from time to time (donate to PayPal.me/rafiasworld to contribute) but I'm not the only person doing this. The most vulnerable are being serviced by the most vulnerable. We only provide for who we see. My objective was to use my platform to funnel funds to those #yall aren't seeing. It "worked" but there's so much more to be done. . Thanks, Devin, for seeing me 🙏🏾 #SundaySessions
