American businesses are falling behind in virtual card adoption
Just read some interesting research from SAP Taulia that shows a clear divide in virtual card adoption:
Europe: 85% of companies planning to allocate 25%+ of spend to virtual cards
Americas: Only 54% planning the same level of commitment
The study surveyed 170 procurement leaders across 19 countries, and the regional difference is striking.
Europe is moving more aggressively toward digital payment transformation. Makes me wonder: Are European businesses more risk-averse after recent data breaches, or are they just more willing to embrace change?
Either way, there's a competitive gap opening up. And gaps like this don't stay open forever.
