EDIT: I FIGURED IT OUT
after you receive a payment for a commission or whatever, these two options will appear under the payment
you hit Add Tracking Info and itll take you to this screen
then you just select “order processed” in that Order Status dropdown, and it’ll auto-select the “tracking information not required” check and then you don’t have to add a tracking number or a shipping service. then you hit submit and its all good
im pretty sure you Have to do this so paypal doesnt fuck your shit, so just make sure u do that
Guide to Paypal Invoice (2017)
UPDATE (As of 4/1/2017): Paypal is now implementing the option to receive tips from your customers.
If you take commissions and use Paypal for charging your clients, I suggest trying out Paypal Invoice. I started using it and thought it’s a neat and simple way to make transactions.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Setting up a paypal invoice is free, in a sense that you don’t have to pay anything beforehand. However, a small amount will be deducted from your client’s payment because of Paypal fees. This means that you don’t get the payment in full because of the fee.
You can calculate how much the fee is by using this site. Since I’m from Philippines, the fee will be 4.4% + $0.30, which is higher compared to the standard fee in US.
It’s up to you but I suggest that you add this small fee when charging your clients to get the payment in full. I’ll tell you how later.
I also added a little guide on what to do after you receive the payment, so you can stop worrying about shipping issues and tracking info. It’s on the second part down at the bottom.
It’s very long so I put it under a Read more. :)
could someone help me with paypal invoices please? i’m thinking about commissions again but i need a bit of help.

Paypal Invoices
Hey so with Paypal’s new thing that requires artists to send invoices I think its important to point out that when you send an invoice it puts your name in big fat letters on it but luckily I found a way around it on my business account.
I don’t know if this works for personal accounts.
So go to create an invoice...
Click my business information
Go to edit or add details
Change your first and last name
Make sure you save it and click preview to make sure it worked.
SO YEAH THERE YA GO
I’m also really paranoid so I also write it on my terms and conditions in my invoice notes, aside from doing this~ click the images to check them out one by one, anon. hope this helps! ^u^
Paypal Seller Protection
hiyaiya guys, I’ve recently sold a very small and quick comission and sent an invoice through paypal. Thing is, I had been discounted $1.50 due to “seller protection”, yet I have no idea what that means --most places say it is actually a free service, yet the official help on the site won’t display the page regarding seller protection, as it is apparently offline. What is it supposed to be? Is it a fixed $1.50 flat rate upon any of my sales? If so I might be forced to not allow my customers to pay through comissions anymore because if I divide a bulk payment into several small payments, they’ll all be eaten $1.50 and it adds up!
I’d like to know some info regardiong this seller protection thingy! What do you know?
