Recently I saw Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, it was... an experience.

It put me in a Dragon Ball mood, tho. So I drew one of my favorite DB character, Shin, as a padawan. He might be a god in DB universe but he never finished his apprenticeship to become a proper god.

Shin, as a Jedi, would be the most anxious padawan to ever exist in the Order but he would make great tea!

I had a whole background story for this picture, but I’ll just leave it with this one headcanon of mine: Goku is an excellent driver - the best of the whole Z-Warriors gang - no-one knows how he got so good but also no-one has a motion sickness when he’s behind the wheel.

I really like the idea of DB/Z/S characters having normal jobs, it’s only logical conclusion to them having (somewhat normal) family life. It would be really great if DBS had a sub-plot of Goku never-ending quest to find a suitable employment! First of all that could be a gags-galore in and of itself, furthermore that way there would be many opportunities to show interaction with other characters outside *plot-points only* and even introduce other characters if needed. Eh...

I drew this piece with two people in mind: first is my friend (who is my DB lore well of knowledge) who inspired me to draw the first fake screenshot. That idea might slowly snowball into a slightly bigger project (or rather an expanded whim, because there is not rhyme or reason behind it). Second person, I think will like this particular rendition is @dragon-ball-meta​? I’ve read somewhere on their blog, that they would love to watch cop!Krillin show and you know what? If it’s LivePD-styled, I’m all for it!

HEADCANON:

From time to time fat Buu says something odd and out of character - as if he was someone else.

Shin dies a little bit inside every time he hears Buu’s “OOC incidents” as the ex-villain sounds ominously like Supreme Kai’s fallen superior – Daikaioh whom he misses dearly
