The Strict-G Suletta Mercury flight jacket 👀💦
is there a point to p bandai other than capitalizing on fomo? like are the kits higher quality or something? is the design process different?
I'm just looking at the $150+ second hand price tag on the saint valkyrie spinatia and crying over the fact that I didn't get into gunpla literally 6 months earlier than I did
It is a bit of fomo. The 30mm kits tend to have a few unique parts to each of them, and tend to come in fancier shades of plastics.
But P-bandai 30mm kits tend to get reprints more often than most other P-bandai kits. It will likely show up again in a year for preorder. I would suggest to wait for then
The Site even shows how often these kits are reprinted.
As for "is it worth it?"
I would say most P-bandai 30mm kits are the most bang for your buck option you can get on that site. you get the base model and normally two recolors of optional parts sets. for about 35$ give or take. So it tends to be about the same price as buying a base kit and those same optional parts from the stander releases.
So I would say the are worth it when buying from the site. I would avoid resellers.
Just finished the MG F80 Gunraid. He is so so beautiful! The kit, as expected of a F90 variant, is absolutely incredible. I absolutely love Mass Production Gundam Variants, so I am super happy to have this guy completed.
HGFC 1/144 P-Bandai Neo-France Mobile Fighter GF13-009NF "Gundam Rose" 🌹🇫🇷
Been looking forward to building this for like 3 months now! Originally I ordered this in July, but the package got lost in the mail and it took a really long time for the company to send a replacement.
This kit is part of a P-Bandai redesign series by suit designer Yasuhiro Imagawa for G-Gundam's 30th Anniversary. It looks like the series will include remakes of the original No-Grade Shuffle Alliance kits, and hopefully will include a remake of the current HGFC Shining Gundam as well.
The kit is beautifully designed, with excellent colour separation despite having a very small parts count, containing only 7 sprues in total. The only colour correcting stickers are red vents on the arms and knees, well covered with foil stickers that also cover the core booster's windshield and the Gundam's eyes.
Each piece is large yet well detailed, and everything goes together super securely. Just like Bandai's most recent kits, it doesn't use any PC parts, helping it stay stiff and hold more complex poses.
The kit comes with two beam blade effect parts, open and closed fist hands, and an open pointing hand. There's also a neat gimmick with the booster, which can detach from the back and transform into the core booster groundcar.
The main gimmick of this kit is the inclusion of a trans light blue action base 5, as well as four rose-bits, a host of blue effects parts, and attachment stands for the base. This is way more impressive than the usual base included in gunpla kits, and allows you to show off the rose-bits in a variety of dynamic poses.
Overall I was really impressed with this kit. It avoids being overly complex while also feeling super premium and looking great on the shelf. Next up - Gundam Maxter!
