SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL HOBBY SHOP
(Reposting this by itself so more people see it)
Buying from local hobby shops is so important actually. Corporations like Amazon and Hobby Lobby are ruining the Gunpla/Plamo market in America, and are the reason why some old or rare kits are so hard get your hands on. Besides them marking up their prices to a ridiculous amount, the more support they get, the more mom and pop hobby stores they out compete and swallow up. I will always always ALWAYS go to a local hobby shop if I can help it. Don't support Bezos or Hobby Lobby. Go to your local hobby store and see what they have in stock, talk to the owners, see what their rewards program is like or if they run events.
My go-to is HobbyTown USA, which have a store in almost every state in the US and have crazy discounts on semi-bulk purchases, $5 flat rate shipping and community build nights regularly. The people are amazing and I highly recommend going to one if you're nearby.
Here are some other alternatives if you shop in the US or Canada:
HobbyTown USA - Stores all over the US
Newtype - Located in Redwood City, California, US
Gundam Planet - Located in Hackensack, New Jersey, US
P-Rex Hobby - Located in Richmond, BC, Canada
The Gundam Place Store - Located in Cumming, Georgia, US
A-Z Toy Hobby - Located in Katy, Texas, US
USA Gundam Store - Located in Daytona Beach, Florida, US
(For a more comprehensive list of Gunpla stores around the world, click Here)
Or if you really can't find anything at any of these online stores, DON'T GO TO AMAZON. Check what people are selling in Japan using Sendico! It's free to set up an account, they hold your purchases in a warehouse for free for 180 days until you're ready to ship it to your country, and it'll probably be cheaper than buying from a US seller.
Please please please support your local hobby shops, because if the corporations own the supply chain then they can charge whatever the hell they want for the products. Our hobby is not worth sacrificing for convivence. Go take a day drive down to the hobby store with a friend and talk to people, it's so so worth it <3
THE BEAST OF TEKEDAN
Finally finished detailing my MG Barbatos! This thing is absolutely amazing, I can't help but keep taking it off my shelf to re-pose, so expect some more pictures of this beauty soon.
Finished the innerframe of the MG Barbatos! It's so much more of the kit than I expected, like 3/5 of it. It's incredibly dense, especially the torso. Expect some better pics once I get the armor on and weapons built
