Artist Sign-Ups & Claiming
Artist Sign-Ups have been reopened & artists can now claim more fics than they signed up for!
You must have a valid tumblr URL and your ask box (and preferably, tumblr messenger) turned on. The use of a side blog is okay, as long as you also provide us with your main blog as a backup (we will only publish the URL you wish to have attached to your work). If you don’t know how to turn your ask box on, or you’re not sure that it’s on, click here.
You must have a valid email address that you check regularly. Email is the primary form of contact that your Mod Squad Leader will reach you at for things like check-ins and other squad announcements. You don’t want to miss out on this important information, so if you don’t currently have one, you will need to make an account in order to sign up.
You are allowed to sign up for more than one fic or role, but know your limits. We have an overall limit of 3 fics max per person, meaning you can only sign up as artist for 3 fics if you have not already signed up as author or beta for any fics.
Art can take any form. Art created for PBB fics doesn’t have to be the traditional paintings or pencil drawings that may come to mind - art can be a playlist, an interpretive dance, a gif set, an edited video or anything else you can create to accompany the fic!
Please be aware of the commitment you’re making. Working on a PBB fic, regardless of if it’s as author, beta or artist is very time consuming, so please only sign up if you can stick to that commitment!
Sign-ups are done through Google Forms.
If you’ve read and accepted everything mentioned above:
You will automatically receive a confirmation email of your sign-up to the email address you provided. If you don’t get an email within 1 hour of signing up, assume that it hasn’t gone through and resubmit (& also contact a PBB mod).
Claiming is being held on Google Sheets, but you don’t need a Google account to comment. However, you must be already signed up as an artist for PBB6 to claim.
Keep in mind that while secondary and tertiary claims can now be made, primary claims override both! Please make sure that you check the public spreadsheet regularly to make sure that the fic is still yours! This way if someone overrides your claim, you can still have a chance to get another fic.
You must reply to the relevant summary. Right click on the box with the bold fic number and select the “insert comment” option from the drop down list. Type in your claim and hit “comment” to submit. Please comment on the fic number, not the summary.
If the number box is light red it hasn’t been claimed, if it’s dark red it’s a primary claim and if it’s blue it’s a secondary claim. If you haven’t claimed a fic yet you can still claim the blue ones.
You can now claim more fics than you signed up for, with a limit of 3 fics. Regardless of how many fics you signed up to make art for, you can now claim up to 3 fics, provided you’re not also signed up as an author or beta.
Public spreadsheet to confirm claims!
(Your claim will not appear here straight away. We will need a couple minutes to process it.)
Happy signing up & claiming! If you have further questions, please check out our FAQ and send an ask if you don’t find the answers to your questions there!
