Camp Here And There Art Exchange 🕰️
SIGN-UPS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED
I was blown away by the success of the minibang—and many people expressed interest in participating in more community events like it—so here we are with something fun to start off the new year!
Scroll down to find info about what the event is/FAQ, rules, and event timeline ⬇️
1) What is a fandom art exchange?
If you’re familiar with the concept of a Secret Santa, it’s exactly that. Participants sign up through the form, choose what kind of art they’d like to make for someone else, and then input prompt(s) for what kind of art they’d like to receive. The eventrunner pairs everyone up with another participant, sending them the prompts their partner chose. There will be a period of time to create an art piece for that person, and then you post the artwork somewhere they can see it and tag them. You don’t tell them you got them as a partner until the time comes to post the artwork, so it stays a fun surprise :)
2) What types of art can I create?
Any medium is welcome! Visual artwork, fanfiction, webweaves, textile art, etc. For more info on the types of content allowed, check the rules below.
3) What is a pinch hitter?
A pinch hitter is someone who steps into a role if someone in the event were to drop out.
4) Is this beginner artist friendly?
Absolutely!!! No prior experience in fandom events needed either.
This event is all ages, so no explicit sexual content will be allowed or requested in any pieces.
As CHNT does contain elements of horror and sensitive topics (like abuse, mental illness, stalking, etc) those will all be allowed. The only prohibited content is explicitly sexual, or anything that promotes/glorifies the aforementioned sensitive topics.
GenAI is not allowed in any way for this event.
If you choose to write a fanfiction, the minimum word count is 1k words.
Participants will be contacted via whatever social media they provide in the form.
Wait until the posting week to post your piece and tag whoever you’re paired with (and this account so I can reblog it!)
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out through DMs or in our inbox.
Be kind, communicate, and have fun! This is a chill event meant to be a creative way of giving back to the wonderful community. It welcomes artists, writers, and creatives of all skill and experience levels.
