i’m pretty sure it was harry potter! but i didn’t understand anything because i was a sweet summer child, so one of the first things i read was gay porn and i just closed the tab and stared at my screen like

if we’re counting that as ml, i was watching a k-drama and stumbled across the first ep that had just been uploaded (*´꒳`*) i only watched the french from there, but i’m still one ep away from finishing the first season

Thought that occurred to me: do you think the dragon slayers ever get requests to do 'paternity tests'? It's canon that they can smell if someone is related, so if it ever got out surely they would get people occasionally asking for them to check. The technology in the world doesn't seem like they could do it using DNA. If so what slayers would accept them?

You know? this is actually an interesting idea. If word did get around about how great their sense of smell was, I could definitely see them able to tell about people being related or not. Though, I’m not 100% how infallible that could be, since it never outright explained if it was the “blood” they were smelling, that would tell if people were related. Or just the fact they were around each other so much that they just smelled like each other. Which can also happen for families.Maybe it’s not an exact science and can’t be said for complete accuracy, but would be a good way to check just in case? Like, slight differentiation could be seen as just because of the environment around them, but if the differences are ENOUGH, then you could really start to question the validity of parenthood and maybe see other doctors about it. I mean, I assume there are other healers that aren’t mages out there, so they may have some method of doing so even if its also not as perfect as DNA testing could be. (or maybe there ARE some mages out there who can scan that sorta thing? Who know-s they say healing magic itself is fairly rare, but the world in Fairy Tail leaves a lot of magic possibilities rather open ended to interpretation, so there could be?)I also just imagine people figuring this out about the slayers and trying to request them for jobs SO OFTEN that the Guild has to actually make a disclaimer and say they’re not accepting them for awhile. Mainly because Natsu and Gajeel are getting sick and tired of being pulled into all that Drama and the one time Wendy accepted it, she ended up getting upset because of how angry the “parents” were by her diagnosis. And Natsu and Gajeel of course had to put the FEAR of ALL HELL into those clients for making Wendy sad. How dare they-
