Tableau: In ballet, a large picture on stage formed from a grouping of dancers. Typically at the beginning or end of an act, it is an important moment frozen in time in which the audience can register what has been seen.
SUMMARY: In late September of 1981, brothers Gideon and Fabian Prewett were cornered and murdered by Death Eaters, loyal followers of Lord Voldemort. Mere weeks later, the Dark Lord was defeated and his followers scattered. In the chaos of the war’s final moments, no one noticed as Aileen Prewett and her 13-year-old daughter Ellie cut ties with the wizarding world and disappeared into the ether until it was too late. Fifteen years later, however, Voldemort has returned and his retribution has been swift against those who previously opposed him. After her mother’s death leaves her with no other choice, Eleanor Prewett makes her return to the wizarding world to stand against those who ripped her family apart. Allied with the reassembled Order of the Phoenix and rediscovering a family she thought lost, Ellie crosses paths with Sirius Black, quickly finding that she is not the only one who feels the pressure of filling a dead man’s shoes. With his help, she may even find that she is not the coward she thought herself to be.
This Sirius/OC plot bunny has bounced around my writing folders for a long time. I doubt I’ll ever get around to writing it, but I am more than happy to answer any questions about it or about Ellie! My ask box is always open! :)
