"You're turning 18 next month. I've seen so many other orphans get to paid him back. Are you really gonna be fine?"

"Don't worry about that. Everything's gonna be okay. The temple will assure me to the safe place. Now smile to the camera."

I looked at the camera and tried to stretch my lips, giving the look smile-like mouth. I want to tell her more about the temple she joined. But, I never did.

"I should warn you to not trust them. I should tell you there's something wrong with that temple. I should prevent you from joining them. I... I... I miss you, sis."

Anyway, for the context, Lewis's sister was my old PC that got lost (the save) because my laptop had a blue screen and needed to reboot. From I remember, she joined the temple and got angel tf. She has one LI and I will spoil it next time.

Here, Lewis was 15 and pretty tall at her age. Taller than her sister at the time.

some headcanons about pearlcatchers

some healers champion pearlcatcher pearls  as ‘cures’ for memory loss, although most of these ‘remedies’ don’t work/have horrifying side affects

as an extension of the above, pearlcatchers have to be extremely vigilant about protecting their pearl bc thieves will try to steal them to sell at astronomically high prices

pearlcatcher graves, second only to imperials, are desecrated, grave-robbers looking for a quick payout (imperial corpses are often dug up and re-located in fear of emperors)

trusting someone else to hold your pearl is a huge leap of faith because you’re legit being trusted with all of their memories like wOAh

gijinka’d pearlcatchers have smaller pearls than their dragon counterparts, and usually incorporate them into jewelry that they wear 24/7 so that they can always protect them (think necklaces, bracelets, etc.)
